Cylinder Compression testing: We will perform compression tests on Diesel engines for an extra charge. Compression testing is a valuable diagnostic tool, particularly on engines 5 years or older. Most diesel engines require the removal of the a number of parts (at a minimum the fuel lines need to be removed) to access and remove the injector to install the compression tester adapter. Various gaskets, sealing washers or O-rings will need to be replaced after the testing. Detroit Diesel engines need a number of critical adjustments to the engine after the tests are performed. We are certified diesel engine technicians !
