          Engine Rebuilder Error

Crumpled connecting rod and broken sleeve.

The engine rebuilder suggested it was caused by customer (over reving).

The true cause was an elongated (stretched by over tightening) connecting rod cap bolt at the time of the rebuild.

After the inspection and the laboratory results the entire cost of the repairs were bore by the rebuilder
